Ivory Heirloom Rug
About this rug
An ivory Persian field, softened as though it had been in the family
A classical all-over design in ivory and bone with the faintest wash of apricot through the middle, bordered the whole way round. It is the lightest rug in the range, which makes a dark room feel considerably bigger — and it is the one to be careful with in a hallway that sees wet shoes.
Why cream works in a living room
Cream and ivory lift a dark room and make a small one feel larger. They ask a little more care by a front door, but in a sitting room or bedroom they do more for the space than a dark rug can.
How it is made
Woven in Turkey from viscose & micro polyester on a cotton backing, at a 12mm pile. At 2,850 g/m² it has real weight, so it lies flat from the first day and stays where you put it. Colour is dyed into the yarn before weaving rather than printed on afterwards, which is why it has depth and will not fade to a flat block.
- Viscose & Micro Polyester on a cotton backing
- 12mm pile height, 2,850 g/m² weight
- Fringed ends, overlocked sides
- Stain resistant — spills blot away rather than soaking in
- 7 sizes and 1 colour
- Free UK mainland delivery and 30 days to change your mind
Which size do I need?
160x230cm suits most uk sitting rooms and is the size to pick if you want the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug; 200x290cm works where the seating is spread wider, or under a six-seat dining table; 240x340cm and 300x400cm are for open-plan rooms where the rug has to define the seating area on its own; the smaller sizes suit a bedside, a hallway or a study.
Under a dining table, allow around 60cm beyond each edge so chairs stay on the rug when they are pulled out.
Looking after it
This is a spot-clean rug rather than a washable one. Vacuum on a low, suction-only setting, blot spills as they happen, and rotate it every few months so it wears evenly. The full care guide is on the Care tab.
