A hairline lattice of crossed triangles over a pale grey field

The whole surface is covered in a fine drawn lattice — triangles crossing and recrossing — but it is drawn so lightly that from a few feet away the rug simply looks like textured grey. It is the quietest geometric in the range and the easiest to live with in a room you have already finished decorating.

How it is made

Woven in Turkey from 100% micro polyester on a cotton backing, at a 7mm pile. At 1,950 g/m² it has real weight, so it lies flat from the first day and stays where you put it. Colour is dyed into the yarn before weaving rather than printed on afterwards, which is why it has depth and will not fade to a flat block.

Which size do I need?

160x230cm suits most uk sitting rooms and is the size to pick if you want the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug; 200x290cm works where the seating is spread wider, or under a six-seat dining table; the smaller sizes suit a bedside, a hallway or a study; 80x300cm is a runner for a hall or a landing.

Under a dining table, allow around 60cm beyond each edge so chairs stay on the rug when they are pulled out.

Looking after it

This is a spot-clean rug rather than a washable one. Vacuum on a low, suction-only setting, blot spills as they happen, and rotate it every few months so it wears evenly. The full care guide is on the Care tab.
